Mora Slams 5 Hits for Detroit Friday, July 6th , 2063 Brad Mora was at the head of a Detroit Sycamores hit parade today at Ballpark of Detroit. The 23-year-old went to the plate 5 times and came away with 5 hits, but it was the Lynchburg Silver Wolves that marched off with the 5-1 win. "We didn't have it today," griped Sycamores skipper Tony Lopez following the game. "Brad did fine, but as a team, we didn't do it with the bats and we didn't do it pitching." Mora did more than fine, dominating the Silver Wolves at the plate during his record-making 5-for-5 performance. "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging center fielder told reporters. "When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats." Brad Mora doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This year Mora has hit at a .298 clip with 42 hits, 1 home run, 14 RBIs and 12 runs scored. |
