Nunez Takes Charge, Blanks Levittown, 8-0 Saturday, July 7th , 2063 The Levittown Black Knights met their match today in Jacksonville hurler Jon Nunez. He kept them guessing the whole game and spun a 2-hit shutout. "He just worked us over," Levittown skipper Glenn Collins said. "He probably didn't even need a shower after the game -- he barely worked up a sweat." In the 8-0 victory, Nunez whiffed 9 and gave up 1 walk. Currently Nunez has a record of 8-5 with 97 strikeouts and 17 walks in 121 innings and a 2.01 ERA. |
