Eastern League Names Huapaya Best Batter Monday, July 2nd , 2063 Roanoke Boomers right fielder Roberto Huapaya had a great time at the plate last week, running up some sensational numbers that no one else could match. Few people were surprised today when the Eastern League named him Player of the Week. Huapaya banged out 8 hits in 16 at-bats on the way to a .500 batting average. He also racked up 2 home runs, 3 RBIs and 4 runs scored. Thus far this year Huapaya is hitting .320 with 4 home runs, 7 RBIs and 15 runs scored. |
